There is significant ongoing and future investment in infrastructure that will have a very positive impact on our investment area.
With work expected to begin in early 2020, South West Glasgow and Renfrewshire are set benefit from the Clyde Waterfront and Renfrew Riverside project, which will include the opening of a new road bridge over the River Clyde that will connect communities on both sides of the river and bring improved access to work, education, hospitals and leisure.
The project is estimated to create over 2,300 jobs for the area and inject £867 million into the regional economy, and the transformed waterfront area will attract new developments, promoting residential, industrial, commercial, business, retail and leisure opportunities.
The infrastructure will connect to an investment area being developed next to Glasgow Airport and this will have a focus on highly skilled jobs in advanced manufacturing, with two national innovation centres already confirmed at this location.
